Job Description

Serviceline, one of the biggest and most highly regarded employers in Letchworth are looking to recruit an enthusiastic HR Administrator / Advisor to be based within our Letchworth Operations Centre. Reporting to the HR Manager, the role will entail providing full generic HR support to all employees.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of duties to include:

  • Act as a 1st point of contact HR service for all employees based in our Letchworth depot.
  • Responsible for on boarding of new starters including, producing offer letters, negotiating start dates, ordering uniform, obtaining relevant ID documentation, collecting all new starter information including information for Payroll and delivering all HR induction training including basic Health and Safety online training.
  • Responsible for full exit process for company leavers including exit interview and the return of company equipment.
  • Maintain sickness, holiday and attendance records accurately and forward to relevant departments in a timely manner.
  • Attend and produce minutes for meetings such as disciplinary and grievance hearings on a low level basis.
  • Maintain and manage all HR personel files and our online HR System, People HR. Ensuring all data is kept up to date and relevant.
  • Maintain and upload all training and development documentation onto the company’s People HR online platform.
  • Maintain and manage the company’s training matrix ensuring all training requirements are fulfilled including training due to expire.
  • To provide HR reports, statistics and other as necessary to the HR manager and to Payroll.
  • To assist in the development and implementation of new policies and procedures including the publishing of handbooks and guides.
  • To assist with a wide range of low level HR queries from employees and managers using the support of the HR Manager.
  • Organise and categorise the joint HR Mailbox to ensure all emails are dealt with proactively and in a professional manner relating to the tasks above.

  • Ability to use a variety of Microsoft Office software packages. – Essential

  • Excellent and professional communication skills. – Essential
  • Previous experience working in a fast paced HR administrative role – Essential
  • Proven experience as an generic HR administrator / advisor in a stand alone position.- Essential
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to produce and interpret data. – Essential
  • CIPD Level 3 – 5 qualified or working towards – Desirable
  • Previous experience working with online HR platforms, preferably People HR – Desirable
